Electorate approve the Maastricht Treaty in referendum vote.
On 18 June 1992, the Maastricht Treaty Referendum took place with 68.7% of the electorate voting in favour of passing the treaty.
The outcome of the referendum would mean greater European integration and the formation of the European Union.
Éamonn Lawlor spoke to Taoiseach Albert Reynolds on the outcome of the Maastricht Referendum and the future referendum which is to be held on abortion.
