Government announces plans to develop the North Wall and Liberties areas of Dublin.

Minister Ray Burke announces plans for the development of a 27 acre port and dock site at the Customs House and a 50 acre site in the Liberties. 

Tax incentive schemes in both areas of Dublin are aimed to encourage new industry, commerce, and enterprise. There will also be financial incentives to establish art galleries, museums, festivals and other cultural activities as part of the regeneration plans.  

Minister for the Environment Ray Burke spoke to RTÉ News about the plans and the finances involved.
