The French owned mobile cinema is in Ireland for a tour of ten counties bringing Irish made films to rural communities north and south of the border. The initiative is being run as a pilot to test the demand from audiences for such a service in Ireland. Chairman of the Irish Film Board Lelia Doolan hopes to encourage some local authorities along with private sponsors to buy a similar mobile cinema.
