Just weeks after being rescued from an eight day kidnapping ordeal Jennifer Guinness, along with her husband John, announces plans to take part in an attempt to break the round Ireland yachting record.
The record they are attempting to break was set by the Irish boat 'Moon Duster' in 1984, which completed the 700 mile journey in 88 hours. Jennifer Guinness was in good form as she spoke to RTÉ News during preparations for the journey at Dun Laoghaire harbour commenting
I'm only going along for the ride.
Catamaran Skipper Robin Knox-Johnson says that their departure plans are dependent entirely on the weather.
