In September 1990 Shamrock Rovers football club made the move from their home at Milltown to the RDS.

Reporter Teresa Mannion spoke to sports commentator Philip Greene, a long time Shamrock Rovers fan, about the move. Greene is alive with excitement about the switch.

Milltown is a memory of the past. Ballsbridge is a beginning for the future.

Known to many as 'Philip Greene and White' he talks about being a Rovers fan and maintaining his impartiality as a football commentator.

Everybody knows that I've always followed Rovers.

The RDS played host to Rovers first game on 30 September when they played St. Patrick's Athletic in front of a crowd of 22,000 people.
