GAA players from Mayo, Offaly, Kilkenny and Cork leave Dublin airport to take part in the annual Wembley tournament.

In May 1970 the football teams of Mayo and Offaly and the hurling teams of Kilkenny and Cork took part in a GAA tournament at Wembley stadium in London. In the late 1950s, the GAA in Britain rented the Wembley ground to host exhibition games of Gaelic football and hurling. The Wembley tournament was an annual event that attracted large crowds and continued until the 1970s.

The matches were played on 23 May 1970.

The results were in football Mayo 3-12 Offaly 3-07 and hurling Cork 5-13 Kilkenny 4-06.
