A star on the BBC with 'The Val Doonican Show'. The entertainer and his wife Lynnette Rae arrive in Ireland for both business and pleasure.
The couple were greeted by Val Doonican's mother Agnes.
Val Doonican is to perform at the Adelphi Cinema, Dublin sharing the bill with Bob Miller and the Millermen.
During this visit to Ireland Val Doonican will returned to his native Waterford for a civic reception followed by a family reunion at the Tower Hotel.
