How do you do your Christmas shopping if you live on a rural island off the coast of Donegal?

RTÉ News talks to the inhabitants of Tory Island to find out how they do their Christmas shopping.

Eileen Magnier meets islanders Patsy Dan Rodgers and Anne Marie Rodgers who talk about shopping on the mainland for all their Christmas essentials.

During the winter it is almost impossible for boats to dock on Tory Island because there is no proper harbour. From November to March a helicopter service is in place to take islanders to the mainland and back. The service is provided by Údarás na Gaeltachta and runs twice a month.
