Dear Santa, I hope you are well...

It's the most wonderful time of the year, but what are you dreaming of this Christmas?

In this 1967 video from RTÉ Archives, a young girl gives her thoughts on Christmas from Dublin’s Henry Street.

The Newsbeat report shows the girl taking in the sights and sounds of the festive season, while a voiceover features her telling reporter Frank Hall about Christmases past and what she hopes to get from Santa.

"Some Christmases I get what I want, and some Christmases I don’t – I’m not disappointed, I’m glad I get any. It’s better to get any than none."

Among the items she would like is a surprise in a box. Boys never get surprises, she says.
