The Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission has confirmed that it has received a complaint about the policing of the recent state visit of the Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping to Ireland.

A group of Tibetan protestors claim that they were harassed by gardaí, not allowed to protest and were then escorted out of the Phoenix Park.

A spokesperson for the Garda Ombudsman has said it received a complaint late this week.

Video footage taken at the scene will also be examined by the Commission.
