A threatened strike by waste collection workers in the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council area has been deferred.
The action was due to start tomorrow in a row between SIPTU and the Council over the signing of contracts with a private contractor to provide waste collection services.
Following talks at the Labour Relations Commission, both sides have agreed to enter into discussions to try to resolve the dispute.
