Road conditions have improved across the country following freezing temperatures overnight.
However, AA Roadwatch says care is advised for secondary routes and back roads, which may still be affected by icy patches.
There have been no fresh snowfalls, but Met Éireann has said road temperatures are well below zero on most national routes and temperatures are expected to fall to around -4C tonight with widespread frost.
Heavy fog in parts of Co Kildare, particularly around Leixlip, Maynooth and Celbridge, is making driving conditions difficult.
Two Dublin Bus Routes remain affected by poor road conditions.
The 44B is only operating as far as Kilternan and the 65 is operating as far as Ballymount.
More snow is forecast later today in Britain, which could affect ferry sailings on the Irish Sea and flight schedules at British airports. However, Dublin Airport is operating normally.
Frost may be slow to clear in some places in the north, the west and some parts of the midlands.
Motorists in Northern Ireland have also been warned to watch out for icy roads especially in the Belfast and Lisburn areas.
There are also reports of foggy conditions in parts of Co Tyrone.
In France, air traffic is being halted at all Paris airports this evening and overnight following warnings that a strong storm is heading towards the region.
The French weather office has warned that much of northern France will be battered by winds in excess of 100kms an hour overnight, with some gusts expected to reach 140km.
