Summer is a time when many secondary school students pack their bags and head for the Gaeltacht to learn Irish and have some fun "as gaeilge".
The survival of the Irish language and poetry in Múscraí Uí Fhloinn is the focus of the programme 'Gaeltacht' from 1969.
In Múscraí county Cork, the Irish language is thriving and actively encouraged through the summer school. We meet Nora, a Bean an Tí, who talks about looking after the teenagers during their stay in Músgraí in the summer months and how she passes her time during the winter.
This programme was broadcast on 20 February 1969.
