A large group of local and visiting hang gliders get spectacular views flying above Achill.
The largest gathering of hang gliding enthusiasts in Ireland took place on Achill Island, County Mayo. The event attracted more than 50 competitive flyers from across Ireland and Britain.
This was the second year for Achill to host the Easter Fly-In organised by the Irish Hang Gliding Association.
With ideal weather conditions, gliders launched from the dramatic heights of the Minaun cliffs and Slievemore, in a spectacular display above the Mayo coastline.
According to the visitors, Achill provides one of the best flying sites in Europe.
