Irish stars light up the red carpet at the British Academy Film Awards in London.

Hosted by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, the 69th BAFTA Awards are taking place at the Royal Opera House in London. The awards honour the best national and foreign films of 2015.

The red carpet event is dotted with green as the Irish nominees arrive. Saoirse Ronan is nominated in the Best Actress category for her role in 'Brooklyn'. She is amazed by the warm reception in London,

I've never had so much love before.

Michael Fassbender, nominated in the Best Actor category for his portrayal of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, is excited to be sharing the event with his industry heroes.

It's an opportunity to try and grab a conversation with them.

With an eye on an Oscar, the director of 'Room' Lenny Abrahamson is finding awards season slightly surreal.

Every so often you sort of wake up and think this is really strange.

Emma Donoghue, who adapted her 2010 novel 'Room' into the 2015 feature film, is nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay. She praises Lenny Abramson's ability to create such a huge film from its small setting.

So I think it's just superb and such a testament to Irish filmmaking.
