Showjumping a highlight as Loughrea Agricultural Show celebrates fifty years.

The agricultural show in Loughrea in the heart of Galway's rich farmland, attracts a large attendance.

In this the jubilee year for the show the organising committee have more more than £2,500 in prize money 25 cups and trophies to be awarded in the categories of horses, cattle, sheep, farm and garden produce.

Showjumping at the event featured international riders Paul Darragh and Ned Cash. A judge and sponsor Lord Patrick Martyn-Hemphill, presents rosettes.

Dermot F Ryan, Chairman of the Loughrea Show, presents a cup to Paul Darragh who rode Didery Do owned by Iris Kellett.
