Cinematographer, writer and director Thaddeus O'Sullivan has directed his first feature film.

No stranger to a film set, Thaddeus O'Sullivan worked for many years as a lighting cameraman but also made short films.

'December Bride’ starring Saskia Reeves, Donal McCann and Ciarán Hinds will have its world premiere at the Dublin Film Festival next month.

For someone who used to being in control of a film’s cinematography, O’Sullivan was content to hand over the reins to Bruno de Keyzer for ‘December Bride’, who he describes as

Highly experienced.

While his early movies were experimental, O’Sullivan describes his more recent work as having a classical style of narrative. He cannot see himself living in Hollywood any time soon, but

I do want people to see my films.
