Among the animals living in the tough environment of Dollymount Strand are some predatory creatures.
There are some amazing land animals on Dollymount Strand on North Bull Island in Dublin Bay. To see them,
You have to know what you are looking for and you have to move terribly quietly.
With no fresh water and very little food for animals that live on plants, Dollymount Strand is a tough place to be. While some animals feed on seaweed and debris on the strand, others like the grey dune robberfly are predatory. Without food and water any animals blown out from the land onto the strand will die. They will be fed upon by scavengers.
It's a tough place to be in these Irish deserts of ours.
