The Cat Laughs Comedy Festival brings the crowds and the comedians to Kilkenny.
Now in its fifth year, the Cat Laughs Festival has made Kilkenny a popular destination for comedy fans and performers.
The festival is synonymous with top quality comedy from some of the funniest comics from here and abroad.
Washington DC Comic Lewis Black is thrilled to be in Ireland for the first time.
You people drink on a level that I've always had an interest in.
Some international comedians have returned to Kilkenny to see the top quality Irish comics. Laura Kightlinger, who has appeared on 'Saturday Night Live', describes the Irish comics as top notch.
Kilkenny has a new venue specifically for the festival and it is called Cat Laughs.
Another American in town is director Bob Koherr who has been travelling around Ireland ahead of the festival reading a book of the dirtiest Limericks. LA comic Sean Masterson is also performing.
