A Clare man who is the fastest tap dancer in the world brings his show to Dublin.

'Magic of the Dance', created by Michael Donnellan from County Clare, opens at the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin for the Irish leg of its world tour.

At forty taps per second, he's the fastest tap dancer in the world.

Magic of the Dance is a love story during famine times in Ireland. Set between 1845 and 1852, the couple had to leave Ireland to find a new life elsewhere.

'Magic of the Dance' first opened in 1999 and since then has visited 500 cities worldwide. For Michael Donnellan, bringing this show home to Ireland is one of the most important dates in his diary. Michael Donnellan previously starred in Riverdance and Lord of the Dance and holds the title of the fastest tap dancer in the world.
