A young reporter talks to Republic of Ireland manager Jack Charlton about the form of his team.
Jack Charlton refutes recent allegations by some English newspapers that members of the Republic of Ireland squad are only playing for the money. These men are entitled to represent Ireland due to their Irish relatives. As professional players they earn far more per week playing with their clubs than playing international football.
They come because they want to play international football.
Jack Charlton is keen to Integrate new players into the team. The game against Tunisia will be an opportunity to include new players such as Mark Kelly.
These international fixtures are also where preparation is done for the World Cup campaign.
Jack Charlton defines his coaching philosophy as keeping it simple and uncomplicated, so that players coming from different clubs can understand what he is talking about,
Work hard, chase people, close 'em down, play the ball in behind them.
