A fight for Friday night television viewers sees Pat Kenny and Eamon Dunphy go head to head.
As The Late Late Show returns for a 43rd season on RTÉ television with host Pat Kenny, it faces competition from the new Dunphy Show on TV3 presented by Eamon Dunphy.
Pat Kenny says that the new season of the Late Late Show will continue with the same format as previous years. He feels a sense of responsibility as host of such a long-running show.

Eamon Dunphy, who has appeared as a guest on the Late Late Show on numerous occasions, will present the new 'The Dunphy Show' which will broadcast live from the Helix Theatre on the Dublin City University campus. Cillian Fennel producer of The Dunphy Show, says that it is going after a different, younger audience.
The Late Late Show captures roughly over 40 per cent of the market. There's 60 per cent there to be got.
