Young people in Belfast protest against the invasion of Czechoslovakia by the Soviet Union.
On August 20, 1968, the Soviet Union along with limited numbers of troops from Hungary, Poland, East Germany and Bulgaria led an invasion of Czechoslovakia.
Young people belonging to a number of political parties march through Belfast to protest at the invasion. Organised by the Belfast Young Socialists the demonstration also involves members of the Republican Labour Party, Queen's University Young Liberals and the University National Democratic group.
The march begins and ends at Belfast City Hall, travelling through the city centre. At City Hall signatures condemning the action of the Soviet Union and allies are collected.
