Dublin band The Thrills have been nominated for a Mercury Music Prize in the United Kingdom.
The Thrills are celebrating in New York after being nominated for the prestigious prize Mercury Music Prize.
They're the Dublin band with the sound of the US west coast.
The five piece band have been nominated on the back of the success of their debut album 'So Much For The City' but face stiff competition from Radiohead for their album 'Hail To The Thief" and Coldplay with 'A Rush Of Blood'.
Singer Conor Deasy described the nomination as a real privilege.
