An exhibition of artwork by Bob Dylan goes on display at the Bradbury Gallery in Belfast.

The first ever collection of fine art by singer-songwriter Bob Dylan goes on show at the Bradbury Gallery in Belfast. Gallery manager Tanya Regan is proud the Bradbury is the only venue in Ireland to have the artwork.

The 'Drawn Blank Series' is based on a collection of drawings and sketches made by Bob Dylan while on the road from 1989 to 1992. The watercolour and gouache paintings in the 'Drawn Blank Series' were created in 2007 and recreate scenes of everyday life.

With only 295 prints of each, demand has been huge.

The gallery has been inundated by calls from Bob Dylan fans from all over the world wanting to buy the artwork. Prices for the prints start at £1000 sterling.

While some art critics have panned Dylan’s work, this hasn’t deterred his fans who see it as an extension of his songwriting.

Fan Mike Harrigan notices that soon after this series of paintings were completed, Bob Dylan reemerged onto the international stage and began making well received, critically acclaimed albums .

I think this might have been part of that gathering his muse together again.
