Snow, ice and subzero temperatures disrupt travel all over the country.

Freezing conditions and snow continue to linger over parts of the country, causing hardship for many.

Cis Leonard from Roundwood in County Wicklow is airlifted to Saint Gabriel's Hospital in Cabinteely by the Aer Corps. The treacherous driving conditions meant an ambulance was unable to reach her home.

In Dublin the buses were running up to two hours behind schedule. Icy roads in Sandymount caused one bus to skid and block the road completely. Schoolchildren who received an extra day off however have been enjoying themselves.

The cold weather looks set to continue for the rest of the week
