The recent fine weather has people heading to the beach.

Sunbathing and swimming is the order of the day at Sandycove beach in Dublin, as people bask in temperatures of over twenty degrees. Unfortunately the good weather is not expected to last over the bank holiday weekend, as cloud is forecast on Sunday for many areas.

The Forestry and Wildlife Service has issued warnings against forest fires, and the Department of Local Government has advised bank holiday swimmers to take care in the water. For those driving to the seaside this weekend the recommendation from the Automobile Association is to check that one's car is in running order.
