Triplets Marie, Marguerite and Noreen Hennessy are getting married at a single ceremony in County Galway.
Marie, Marguerite and Noreen Hennessy triplets from Killimor near Ballinasloe in County Galway have decided to get married to their prospective husbands on the same day.
Marie is marrying Tommy Keane, Marguerite is marrying Declan Martin and Noreen is marrying Timothy Dolan. All three couples will be married at a ceremony in St Joseph's Church, Killimor on 18 July 1997. Their wedding reception will be held at The Shannon Oaks Hotel in Portumna.
Marie and Marguerite got engaged on the same day before Christmas in 1994 and Noreen followed suit six months afterwards,
We decided then in the space of a few months that we would get married together.
While the couples are sharing their wedding day, they are planning separate honeymoons in Portugal, Barbados and Lanzarote respectively. On returning to Ireland it will be the first time the sisters have lived separately. Marie will live in Gort, Marguerite in Loughrea and Noreen in Athlone.
