Irish and international designers show their latest collections at the Futura Fashion Fair at the RDS in Dublin.
The Futura Fashion Fair is expected to generate around £12 million in sales. The three day event will attract over four thousand buyers from throughout Ireland and Britain to the RDS.
Feeling Free is the fashion slogan for this year's autumn winter '92 collection.
Minister of State for Trade and Marketing Mary O'Rourke says that fashion is a serious business with Irish clothing and footwear exports amounting to £325 million last year.
There are over 200 Irish and international designers showing their collections at this year's fair. Twenty one year old Mary Hurley from the Grafton Academy is exhibiting her work. She was the overall winner of An Bord Tráchtála's Designer '92 competition and was presented with a prize of £500.
For the designers, the overall trend from this year's show is feeling free to make an individual choice or statement from different looks.
