The work of George Frideric Handel features as part European Music Year with a performance from Fishamble Street Baroque.
'Festival, Fishamble Street Baroque' was a two part programme celebrating the music of a group who call themselves Fishamble Street after the original venue for 'Messiah'.
The programme celebrates the centenary of the births of composers Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750), George Frideric Handel (1685-1759), and Domenico Scarlatti (1685-1757)as well as Francesco Geminiani (1687-1762) with their music played by Malcolm Proud (harpsichord), Rachel Isserlis (violin) and Rhonda Bronicke (cello).

The second episode opens with a performance of Handel's Sonata in D major for violin and harpsichord.
