An Post announces the winning entries for a competition to design new love stamps for St Valentine's Day .
Chairman of An Post Feargal Quinn says that by buying a Love stamp, people can tell others that they love them, not only on St Valentine’s Day, but throughout the year as well.
An Post hope to sell 6 million stamps and make a profit of £1.5 million, but Feargal Quinn says this all depends on the Irish nation,
Proving itself to be as romantic as I personally believe they are.
Prize money was awarded to the two competition winners. Seven year old Tara Collins said she would spend the prize money on art supplies, while art student Brigid Teehan had slightly more pressing financial concerns – paying the rent, and perhaps the purchase of a camera.
