Tickets costing less than £1 will go on sale next February in Ireland's first national lottery.
Details about the sale and cost of National Lottery tickets are announced at a press conference addressed by Jim O' Keefe Minister for State in the Department of Finance. The proceeds from the venture will be of benefit to sport and other recreation, national culture including the Irish language, the arts and the health of the community.
Gerard Harvey, National Lottery chairman estimates that 68% of the population will buy tickets. His predictions are based on global research.
I think regardless of economic circumstances people have this desire to get some more money for themselves and here is the opportunity with which to do it.
