Over 200 swimmers brave the Liffey waters for the annual swim.
It was a dirty day in Dublin this morning for Dublin's dirtiest swim.
The 2001 Liffey Swim sponsored by Toyota has the added obstacles of an oil slick and construction work. Dubliner Paul Byrne wins the men's race by a fingernail, while the women's race is won by Valerie Spollen.
