RTÉ cameras attended a variety of events which include the 8-day Glenn of Imaal's Deer Festival in Wicklow, the carnival attractions in Tramore, County Waterford, boating on the River Shannon and swimmers at Killiney Beach - Ireland's Bay of Naples.

At Dublin Zoo, crowds gather for a family day out to see the animals. While bears beg for sweets from visitors, a two and a half month old lion cub appeared in public for the first time.
