A football legend Páidí Ó Sé is the new trainer of the Kerry team with Séamus Mac Gearailt as coach.
Football legend Páidí Ó Sé was appointed trainer of the Kerry football team for a period of two years on 21 September 1995. The Ventry publican had been patiently waiting in the wings, having been overlooked on the last two occasions Kerry appointed a manager.
As a footballer, he won eight All-Ireland senior medals and five All-Star awards.
I have worked diligently with West Kerry over a period of years. People like me, people dislike me, but they'll have to put up with that.
Páidí Ó Sé is anxious to gather the strongest panel possible to add to Kerry's tally of 30 All Ireland Senior Football Titles.
I will be trying to build up the ego of each player. I will make an open door.
