Honorary Degrees handed out at Iveagh House on Saint Stephen's Green, Dublin.
In 2000, actor Gregory Peck received an Honorary Doctorate of Literature from the National University of Ireland (NUI) at a ceremony in Iveagh House in Dublin. The film star, now in his eighties, is a frequent visitor to Ireland. His grandmother came from Dingle in County Kerry.
Former Foreign Affairs Minister Peter Barry also received an Honorary Doctorate, along with Baroness Helena Kennedy, Liam Downey and Peter Barry.
