A man in his 40s has died in a road crash in Roscommon while another man died in a crash in Co Fermanagh.
In Roscommon, the single-vehicle crash happened near Athlone at 3.20pm this afternoon.
The crash occurred on the M6 Athlone between Monksland Exit (junction 13) and Ballinasloe East (junction 14) westbound.
The driver of the car, a man in his early 40s, was fatally injured. He was taken to Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe where he was pronounced dead.
A female passenger was also taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The road was closed for investigation but has now reopened.
In Fermanagh, a man died in a road crash at 10am this morning.
Cavan GAA named the man as Dominic Earley, a member of their backroom team.
The single-vehicle crash occurred on the Glengesh Road near Tempo.
The road was closed and diversions were put in place.
