A man and a woman arrested following the suspected murder of a man in Dublin last weekend have been released without charge.

Gary O'Brien, 51, was found dead in a basement flat in a house on Dublin's North Circular Road at around 8.40pm last Sunday, 19 February.

He had been shot in the forehead.

The man and a woman were arrested on Tuesday.

Both have now been released and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
