A grow house with cannabis plants worth an estimated €450,000 has been discovered in Co Galway.
Gardaí last night stopped and searched a car at the Sally Gap in Co Wicklow, and seized cannabis herb with a street value of €2,000.
A man in his 40s was arrested and is being held at Wicklow Garda Station.
In follow-up searches at a premises at Farnaght, Corr Na Mona, Co Galway, a highly-sophisticated grow house was discovered.
Cannabis plants, at a mature stage of growth, were discovered as well as dry cannabis.
The house was sealed off for a forensic technical examination.
Separately, a fully operational grow house was discovered in Borris, Co Carlow.
Plants worth an estimated €250,000 were discovered during a search of a premises in Killendmond this evening.
A man in his 20s was arrested and is being detained at Carlow Garda Station.
