Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a security man at a shopping centre in Dublin was stabbed yesterday afternoon.
It is understood the incident happened when the man in his 20s was trying to stop a group from shoplifting.
Three people, two men and a woman, entered a premises in the Omni Shopping Centre in Santry around 2.30pm when an altercation broke out.
The man was brought to the Mater Hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.
No arrests have been made.
