An investigation is under way into a suspected hit-and-run incident in Co Galway in which an 84-year-old man was seriously injured.
The man hit by a vehicle as he was on the Dunmore to Clonberne road close to the old post office around 1km outside Clonberne on 28 December.
He was taken to University Hospital Galway where is condition is described as critical but stable.
Gardai have appealed to witnesses to contact them, particularly anyone who may have been on that stretch of road between 4.30pm and 5pm on Wednesday to contact Tuam Garda station on 093 70840, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
