Two guns discovered close to the scene where convicted criminal Mark Desmond was shot dead in Dublin have been sent for ballistic examination.
Desmond, 41, was shot dead in the Griffeen Valley Park in Lucan at around 8pm on Friday.
One of the firearms was discovered in a burned out 05-registered blue Mazda car and the other was found in woodland nearby.

Desmond had been targeted before in a shooting but escaped with non-life threatening wounds.
He had previously been charged with a double murder but the charges were later withdrawn.
He was also convicted of unlawful possession of firearms with intent to endanger life.
That conviction was later overturned.
Gardaí have appealed for anyone with information to contact them at Lucan Garda Station on 01-6667300, the Garda Confidential Telephone line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
