A man has been arrested after a haul of drugs with an estimated street value in the region of €250,000 was found in Limerick city.

The 31-year-old was arrested following a search at a house in the Moyross area of the city.

Cannabis resin with an approximate street value of €19,500, cocaine with an estimated value of €12,500 and cannabis herb worth around €215,000 was found during the search.

The man is being held at Henry St Garda Station.

€10,500 in cash was also seized by gardaí in another search at a property in Kileely in Limerick.
