A farmer in his 60s has died in a farming accident near Hackettstown, Co Carlow.
It is understood the deceased was working in a trench on his farm when the sides collapsed in on him.
The incident occured around 4pm yesterday afternoon.
Gardaí and the Health and Safety Authority are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
