Gardaí have seized cannabis herb worth an estimated €300,000 and made two arrests during operations in Counties Kildare and Dublin today.
A large quantity of cannabis herb was discovered when gardaí stopped and searched a car in Kilcock, Co Kildare, this afternoon.
The occupant of the car, a man in his 40s, was arrested at the scene. He is currently being detained at Leixlip Garda Station.
During a follow-up search, a further quantity of cannabis herb was discovered at a house in the north inner city area of Dublin.
A woman aged in late 40s was arrested at the scene. She is being detained at Store Street Garda Station.
The pair can be detained for up to seven days.
Today’s operation is part of ongoing investigations targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the Dublin and Kildare regions, gardaí said.
