A man in his 40s is in a serious condition in hospital following a gun attack in Walkinstown.
It is understood the man was not the intended target of the shooting.
The incident happened at Cullen Car Parts on the Greenhills Road just after 11.30am.
A man is understood to have walked into the premises with a shotgun, and the victim was shot in the chest.
The victim was taken to Tallaght Hospital where his condition is described as serious.
Gardaí have appealed to anyone who may have seen a Seat Ibiza car with the registration 97 D 44770 in the area at the time to contact them.
They believe there are two suspects - a tall man wearing a grey tracksuit, and a second person who was driving.
