A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal crash in Co Kilkenny this morning.
The victim, who was in his 20s, died in a collision with another vehicle, which failed to remain at the scene, at around 1am on the westbound carriage of the N24 Piltown bypass near Fiddown.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to University Hospital Waterford.
A 53-year-old man was arrested this afternoon in connection with the incident and is currently detained at Thomastown Garda Station.
