An investigation is under way following an assault on two men and a boy from Afghanistan in Dublin on Thursday evening.

The attack happened at around 8.20pm on Stonemasons Way in Ballinteer when the three were returning from a family trip to a nearby park.

The victims are aged 13, 18 and 20.

Gardaí say they were assaulted by four men who were travelling in a blue Peugeot car.

They left the scene in the same car and travelled in the direction of Dundrum.

The 13-year-old victim has told RTÉ News he is now afraid to leave the house.

Abdul Ahmadzai, who is in first year in secondary school, said that the men who assaulted him told him they knew where he lived and that the assault was just a warning.

He said the men told him and his two uncles that they should leave the country and that they would be killed.

Witnesses filmed and photographed the assault.

It is understood some of this material was given to gardaí.
