Gardaí have sealed off a house in south Dublin following a claim by a woman she was raped as a child and gave birth to two babies.
She has claimed that the babies were killed and buried in the garden.
The events are said to have happened in the late 1960s and the 1970s.
A statement from gardaí says a search warrant has been executed at an address in south Dublin.
The search, which is being carried out by gardaí from Crumlin Garda Station, is expected to last two to three weeks.
Gardaí have also consulted with the Coroner’s office.
They have interviewed the woman on a number of occasions and are treating the case seriously.
