An appeal has been issued following a shooting incident in Dublin yesterday.

A number of shots were fired close to fast food restaurants at the Charlestown Shopping Centre in Finglas.

Gardaí said the gunman left the scene in a silver Volkswagen Golf - registration 02-MH-7775 - which was driven by another person, believed to be a man.

The car was later found burned out at the Shancastle Estate in Clondalkin.

The gunman was wearing a balaclava.

No one was injured in the shooting which occurred around 6.15pm.
